The world is mine - Gratitude

Hi fellows :) This is a poem i was sent and thought of sharing since i liked it. It did not have the authors name so i have no clue of who is the author.

Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful woman
And wished I were as beautiful.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and used a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs; the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes; the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child I knew.
He stood and watched the others play,
but he did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
"Why don't you join them dear?"
He looked ahead without a word.
I forgot, he couldn't hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two ears; the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go..
With eyes to see the sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I'd know.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

— Author Unknown

The degrading laughter..

Please do not copy without permission.
re-posted for http://vividthoughtofglory.blogspot.com

Hi ladies and gents in case you want to read more hair related and random post from me feel free to check out/follow  my other blog by clicking here.Though both are still active.

This is a re-post from there:

You get a  sincere compliment; a statement like...
you are intelligent... your ladylike...your very strong...  it all sound so funny to you and you suddenly start laughing.

Let's see this conversation i made up:

Bolt"You are so young yet so put together, intelligent, a lady..."'

This starts to sound funny to Carmen then all of a sudden she burst out into laughter.
Carmen: "Ha ha ha ha"

Bolt: *....total silence or if lucky enough asks why you are laughing*

Let's go the opposite way

Carmen: "Can you please help me with maths?I know you are one of the intelligent ones.."

This starts to sound funny to Bolt or makes him a bit uncomfortable then all of a sudden usually one of this two scenarios take place:

A.Scenario
Bolt:"Nah, i'm not that intelligent..."

B. Scenario
Bolt:"Haha you really think so?"

Carmen: *long silence.. startled*

And the list and stories go on and on and on, with even more group of people...

Do you know what happened now?

This is a lesson i learned and i found really interesting that i had to share with you to help others too.

The person has a belief in you lets say 70% so complements or states positive things about you.You on the other hand because maybe you don't want to look overly prideful, don't believe that much in your potential or maybe  due to self esteem issues you brush it off.And how? With the laughter. That laughter don't always come in a negative or cynical way.Sometimes it just pops out on it's own without wanting to be mean or anything. That same laughter makes the person start questioning you...Why did he/she laughed, maybe she/he is right; she/he knows herself/himself better than i do...you then get that 70% belief the person had for you and lower it into a 30% or sometimes even deplete it.All this happened without you nor i taking notice and that's the sad part of it.Instead you should enhance the 70% into a 100% without being prideful. That keeps  both positive and you keeping a balance that's healthy to your esteem.I hope this was helpful to someone.

Let me go back to the scenario in a right form:

Bolt"You are so young yet so put together, intelligent, a lady..."'

Carmen: "Thanks.I appreciate your kind words. That shows that my hard work it paying off"

Bolt: *smiles*

Let's go the opposite way

Carmen: "Can you please help me with maths?I know you are one of the intelligent ones.."

This starts to sound funny to Bolt or makes him a bit uncomfortable then all of a sudden usually one of this two scenarios take place:

Bolt:"Okay let me see what you've got, i'll try to help as much as i can."

Do you see the difference?Put yourself in both shoes and you will get what i mean.So lets try to remove that degrading laughter away and work on being a better person.

Be aware of the degrading laughter :)

Life is simple!

Don't forget to follow, comment and share you own tips.
Have a great day!

Running away from victory? The story of the sheep and lion.

Running away from victory? The story of the sheep and lion.

Written by Flower princess

This is a valuable lesson I’m in the process of learning. I believe it would be a great mind opener for you too so it’s good to share.
Have you hear before these little kids stories when small. Some portray a valuable lesson. Today I’ll share one of those stories. I might add in some things because it’s kind of hard to remember a story exactly the way you were told but a story is always a story however you say it. Then I’ll unlock a food for thought…
Once upon a time there was a shepherd that found a stray cub, he took it and decided to grow it with his sheep. This cub was there growing slowly into a lion. But hey, there’s something that didn’t look normal. He grew with lots of love from the shepherd, lived with the sheep’s and started behaving like one. Some time passed and things seemed to change. The sheep’s while eating grass in the field used to panic all of a sudden and rush back to their shelter. He used to follow them without knowing the cause. One day he thought “Why are all these fellow sheep running away, let me go see”. He went up front and saw it was because of a tiny, to him, looking creature; a wolf. In a twinkle of an eye his lion instincts awakened “Is this causing all these?” said in his heart and suddenly he started roaring. Yes, a mighty lion! The wolf of course couldn’t stand him and run away.Victory! Wow this was so easy, isn’t it?
This who we are. Through Jesus Christ we have been given power over the devil. We have to realize that. Let’s look at the story of David to add to this. We are going to read from the book of 1st Samuel  17:1-26 (ESV) pay special attention to the last words of David in verse 26.

1 Now the Philistines gathered their armies for battle. And they were gathered at Socoh, which belongs to Judah, and encamped between Socoh and Azekah, in Ephes-dammim. 2 And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered, and encamped in the Valley of Elah, and drew up in line of battle against the Philistines. 3 And the Philistines stood on the mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on the mountain on the other side, with a valley between them. 4 And there came out from the camp of the Philistines a champion named Goliath of Gath, whose height was six[a] cubits[b]and a span. 5 He had a helmet of bronze on his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail, and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels[c] of bronze. 6 And he had bronze armor on his legs, and a javelin of bronze slung between his shoulders. 7 The shaft of his spear was like a weaver's beam, and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron. And his shield-bearer went before him. 8 He stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, “Why have you come out to draw up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not servants of Saul? Choose a man for yourselves, and let him come down to me. 9 If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we will be your servants. But if I prevail against him and kill him, then you shall be our servants and serve us.” 10 And the Philistine said, “I defy the ranks of Israel this day. Give me a man, that we may fight together.” 11 When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.
12 Now David was the son of an Ephrathite of Bethlehem in Judah, named Jesse, who had eight sons. In the days of Saul the man was already old and advanced in years.[d] 13 The three oldest sons of Jesse had followed Saul to the battle. And the names of his three sons who went to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and next to him Abinadab, and the third Shammah. 14 David was the youngest. The three eldest followed Saul, 15 but David went back and forth from Saul to feed his father's sheep at Bethlehem. 16 For forty days the Philistine came forward and took his stand, morning and evening.
17 And Jesse said to David his son, “Take for your brothers an ephah[e] of this parched grain, and these ten loaves, and carry them quickly to the camp to your brothers. 18 Also take these ten cheeses to the commander of their thousand. See if your brothers are well, and bring some token from them.”
19 Now Saul and they and all the men of Israel were in the Valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines. 20 And David rose early in the morning and left the sheep with a keeper and took the provisions and went, as Jesse had commanded him. And he came to the encampment as the host was going out to the battle line, shouting the war cry. 21 And Israel and the Philistines drew up for battle, army against army. 22 And David left the things in charge of the keeper of the baggage and ran to the ranks and went and greeted his brothers. 23 As he talked with them, behold, the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, came up out of the ranks of the Philistines and spoke the same words as before. And David heard him.
24 All the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him and were much afraid. 25 And the men of Israel said, “Have you seen this man who has come up? Surely he has come up to defy Israel. And the king will enrich the man who kills him with great riches and will give him his daughter and make his father's house free in Israel.” 26 And David said to the men who stood by him, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

Can you see the lion awakening in him? The spirit of the living God enforcing him with supernatural power to crush down the enemy and do what was said impossible? You can read on that chapter to see David’s victory through God.
That’s my great lesson .At times when I see others giving up on things I’m struggling to do I think in the manner of…”If they can’t do it why should I even try? It’s just impossible.” A loser without even trying …Do you see yourself in my words? May God deliver us both!
So now where’s the point? The point is don’t lose before the battle, try hard and then trust not in yourself but in God who never fails. If he wills he can do some miraculous thing through you and what you thought impossible or unattainable will happen right in front of your eyes! Of course there is a preparation one has to make (which we might discuss in another topic) before even thinking of trying what you are afraid of. But in short I learned to not allow the fiery thoughts to stop me from taking the plunge, of course we are all human beings no one can be totally fearless but with God’s help we can all improve and do better. Finally when you get that victory, if God permitted you to do so, give him the glory and thanks because people will praise you for the accomplishment. But we  both know who did it :) Let me know if this article was of help and you enjoyed it. I would be happy to. If you didn’t get the victory then stay calm God may be taking you to another direction better than yours.

To God be all the Glory and Honour,
Flower princess.

Smile when your heart is broken smile...
When your tears have floated smile..
In the bruises of your soul; smile...
When your future is unsure; smile..
When a thoughtful love has hurt you ; smile
At the fear that surrounds you;smile..
In insecurities..smile
In the unbearable pain in your soul; smile...
The midst of loneliness;smile...

This is the way to forgive...
This is the way to believe...

And now...i think my life is broken...

Shush my dear, don't think this way.
It's a lesson for you to learn
The truly you smile the stronger you become.
The truly you smile the healing has began.

It's about time for things to change.
See yourself the way you ought to be...

I hope this blesses a soul today :)

Robot life-A Christians way to conscious interactions.

Robot life-A Christians way to conscious interactions.

written by Flower princess
please do not plagiarize

Recently I’ve realized that our lives have started becoming automatic. We are leaving less consciously. This is a lesson first to me and then to you, if you accept the truth in it. From waking to eating to sleeping and so on. We do things without paying attention. Why?

1. It seems normal and in fact in this world who wants to be abnormal?!
2. It is easy. Once you get used to it, it just happens instantly.
3. We haven’t realized or take notice of this fact. Life is moving so fast to notice.
4. Life is getting automatic; everything is being set on autopilot.
5. The fear of being mediocre. Not so good for the people around you.
6. it’s comfortable.
7. You can’t control yourself anymore or maybe you have no choice.
The list can goes on to the reasons why things are happening like that.
But you know what I’ve realized?

In doing so
  • We lose our lives.
  • We forget that our true home is with God.
  • We become ‘religious’ in the bad sense.
  • We forget the purpose of our living or creation.
  • We look normal in what’s not normal and remain just another ordinary person.
  • We conform to our surroundings, whether good or bad.
  • We become emotionless.
And the most important is…
That’s what I’m going to analyze now.
Let’s think together.
When was the last time I said good morning and really meant it?
When was the last time I said bye, sorry, hello, love you, God bless you, a compliment, gave a hug e.t.c and really meant it?
These are just some examples but think of sentences you frequently say or things you do.

It’s easy to say I hate you and mean it than to say good morning.
I realized that it’s easy to say something negative and really mean it.
What do I mean when I say mean it?

Let’s check it out. When we say or do things from our heart there is an emotion or a mixture of emotions either positive or negative that is being released. When we talk or act casually in the autopilot mode we feel and release voidness.

How do i bring more positive emotions in my life?

1. The first step is by developing your relationship with God. A healthy relationship with God is the base of godly interactions with others.
2. Meditate upon the word of God and give him the chance to tell you how you can live consciously.
3. Pray and ask God to help you to practice what he expects and told you to do. But before this you must forgive those who hurt you. Yes, that’s the tough part and a constant struggle but with God’s help it is possible. Then ask him also to forgive you from your sins. This way you get cleansed and healthy spiritually which will eventually show in your physical interactions.
4. See life the way God wants you to see it. See the many blessings you have and smile from your heart. Even if things are tough remember God’s love in giving his son and be grateful. You are not forgotten.
5. Share Gods love and emotions. Say hello, laugh, cry, and smile but do it from your heart. Yes i said cry! Crying  releases the negativity that you store inside you or can also be an expression of overwhelming happiness. Give a huge hearty hug to someone today! Be genuinely and respectively yourself in Christ. This way you remain healthy in the heart and soul. Now it’s easy; continue to live like this!
God bless you!

Are you hungry & thirsty?

Are you hungry & thirsty?

John 4:1-15 (KJV)
When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
2(Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)
3He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
4And he must needs go through Samaria.
5Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
7There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
8(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
15The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

Are you hungry and thirsty?Do you feel that you want to know more and more about God?
When you become born again the Holy Spririt comes to live inside you.He gives you the desire to do the things of God.
Like 1 Peter 2:1-3 (NAS) says:
1Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander,2like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,3if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.
Once you are now a Christian you have to feed yourself with the word of God in order to grow!If you don't feed yourself with the word of God you'll eventually get malnourished and die.The more you eat the word of God the more you grow.Think of it like this. There must by a balance between your physical and spiritual life.If you don't eat physical food you die.The same goes with your spiritual life.Though you never get fat Laughingwith the word of God because you never get full of it!If you want to grow spiritually from a new born baby (born again) you must:

1.Develope your relationship with the Holy spirit (this is very important)
2.Read the word of God a get someone like your Pastor explain whatever you don't understand.By reading the word of God ,God speaks to you.
John 1:1
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
3.Pray and always ask for forgivness.By praying you communicate with God.The highest form of prayer is worship.
4.Allow him to speak to you by having a quiet time with him.
5.Be active at the things of God.By replacing your worldly activities with Godly activities.
6.Fast whenever the Holy spirit convicts you.
7.Bear good fruit.
Matthew 7:15-20 says:
15“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?17Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
8.Share the good news with others and be a helping hand in bringing people into God's kindom.
This list is not perfect but i thank God for giving me the ability to write this article and help others.May God bless you all.
